a-prodigal-son asked: Aights, as an insisting post asking for asks, how'd you become a Christian? I'd like to hear your testimony. :)

I was a Catholic Christian since baptism. I go to church on Sundays with my family. I pray. I believe in God’s existence. But I don’t know much about Him. All I know is that Jesus is a poor man hanging on the cross. That’s all.

The turning point of my life did happen when I was first year college. It was our  university’s founding anniversary and I, together with my friends, were loitering in the campus. Suddenly, a girl approached us and shared Romans 6:23. That was July 17 2010. That very day, I accepted Christ as my personal LORD and Savior. Man, that was the best decision Ive ever made in my life!

After that encounter, I started attending cell groups, youth gatherings, prayer meetings and sometimes, Sunday services. My parents dont know about these stuffs  until the 24th of December.

I told everything to them. As I expected, they got mad, well, really mad at me. I cried so hard and fought for my faith but they cant understand me. Or, they just dont want to understand me. 

Until now, they wont allow me to attend any church activities but we do go to Catholic Sunday masses. 

Le sigh.

But I keep my faith strong by doing my everyday devotionals, attending cell groups, attending youth gatherings when they’re not home, praying, and trusting Him.
